The year 2020 began in recklessness or unconsciousness, some would say. There were, of course, the usual concerns and challenges, but COVID had not yet struck in Europe.
Few of us had ever thought of a pandemic and beyond amazement, all the consequences had not yet been assessed: a strained but exemplary health system, drastic measures to stem the pandemic and an economy that is coming to a standstill. The rest of the story is known, even if the last chapter has not yet been written …
The authorities did what they could with the knowledge of the moment: between the alarmists, the deniers, the plotters, the carefree and fearful, the road was painful but also full of lessons. The strength of resilience in the face of challenges and the unknown forces respect.
Apart from the strong emotional and personal aspects that we can only respect, most of us have lost some or all our clients or simply have not seen or heard from them again, for good or bad reasons.
Even if it can be hard, we have to tell ourselves that this is life and simply think about tomorrow, rebuild what we can and above all be positive, because in the end, many things happen in our heads before they are put into action.
Christmas will be special this year and family or friends’ gatherings will be restricted, and possible long-distance stays will necessarily be limited. Let us have a little thought for those for whom these restrictions, whether intended or not, are a daily occurrence.
Let us hope and think that 2021 will be the year of renewal, of professional opportunities, of revival in general. We will certainly have learned a lot during this tumultuous year, so let us take advantage of these special moments to project ourselves into a bright future.
Save your strength for 2021, take care of yourself and have a Merry Christmas. Have a good start to the year and see you soon
