Happy New Year and good resolutions!

After a year 2020 that has been turned upside down to say the least, 2021 should turn out to be a much better vintage, although we must take the usual precautions at this stage… Come on, let us give it a try and we wish you a Happy New Year 2021!

The passage of the year is a good opportunity to make good resolutions. And what if we did it in the business world too?

Here are a few proposals in bulk:

  1. Always put human relations at the centre of the professional debate and value the performance of employees: the rest will follow.
  2. With telework introduced in force, and sometimes by obligation in 2020, see whether the workspaces are still current or whether new arrangements would be more favourable for all
  3. With activities at a distance, ensure that management has fully understood the issues at stake and fulfils its role as moderator and adviser to employees and that the dynamic is well integrated.
  4. Remember to regularly thank its teams for the magnificent work they do in often trying circumstances: it really does not cost much…
  5. Thinking longer term despite daily challenges and ensuring that the business model is always current. Have the courage to make strong resolutions, not small tweaks to give yourself a clear conscience.
  6. Evaluate non-core business services and ensure that they are still relevant in terms of both volume and quality.
  7. Review FM contracts to provide them with the necessary security and flexibility.
  8. To reflect on whether levels of outsourcing and collaboration with external providers are still adequate.
  9. Include employees in the reflection process: they are often full of good ideas.
  10. Accept that one does not always have “the” solution in-house and that external specialists can help.

The list has no scientific value, but we wanted to make our small contribution to the reflection at the beginning of the year. We hope that it will provide you with good opportunities, good deals, and good encounters.

Courage, energy, and the will to excel - these are our wishes. We hope to see you soon.
